In June, two of our students had the privilege of taking part in the Lourdes Diocesan Pilgrimage. During their time there, Maria and Aoibheann supported pilgrims from the Diocese of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise, assisting them throughout the journey. They attended ceremonies in the Underground Basilica and at the Poor Clare’s Convent, visited the sacred baths, and joined the beautiful candlelight procession. The girls also had the opportunity to meet students from schools across the diocese, and together they gave a heartfelt performance for the pilgrims to conclude the pilgrimage. We are extremely proud of Maria and Aoibheann for representing our school with such kindness, generosity, and spirit of service throughout this special experience.

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland Presentation
We were delighted to welcome Ms Fiona Nowell to the school recently for a presentation of funds raised for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. The funds were raised through the sale of Saint Brigid’s Crosses earlier this year. Our students made and sold the crosses with the aim of raising funds for this wonderful organisation. They were thrilled to present €500 to Ms Fiona Nowell. Pictured are Moya Nowell, Fiona Nowell, Ms Macko and Ms Cullen.

School of Life Course for LCA and TY Students
There was great excitement on Thursday, September 4th, as we welcomed Michelle Harding, a qualified and internationally registered etiquette consultant, to our TY and LCA group. Michelle runs the School of Life, delivering courses across Ireland that focus on etiquette and essential life skills. During her visit, the students learned how to prepare for work experience, including how to greet people both socially and professionally, how to dress appropriately, and even how to iron their clothes. The students thoroughly enjoyed this practical and beneficial course.

Clubs and Extra-Curricular Day
Opportunities to partake in club events and extra-curricular activities are an invaluable and crucial aspect of school life. Clubs and teams support the development of a myriad of skills and competencies and with this in mind, Friday, September 12th, marked the beginning of this year’s extra-curricular adventure as students attended the Sign-Up Day event in the gym. We look forward to charting their achievements and success in the coming months and thank all the teachers who have volunteered their time to support the holistic development of our students.
