Football

Football plays a huge role in Meán Scoil Mhuire from when a student enters 1st year and departs in 6th year. Many of our students have gone on to represent Longford Ladies GAA over the years whilst most recently a number of our students won an All Ireland Club title with Longford Slashers, in turn helping to improve the recognition of Ladies football in Ireland and we take huge pride in their development whilst representing the school as well as the success the school has achieved on the pitch. We have a number of teams throughout the school, including U14S, Junior and Senior, and all compete in various competitions during the year. Below is our new GAA kit, which was the result of a fundraiser called the “Longford to New York Run”.
